East Essex is committed to the development of umpires and will continue to provide mentoring to learner umpires and umpires progressing through C Award and on to B and A Awards.

Sue Wilkinson
East Essex Lead Mentor and 2022 National Winner of the Sheelagh Redpath Community Official of The Year!
Sue leads a team of volunteers who have qualified as Mentors.

Assessment Co-ordinator. Bev organises the Into Officiating, and C Award Assessments across the county.

Officiating - Keeping in Touch
Several leagues operate What’sApp groups for umpires – please contact the appropriate League Officiating Lead for more information or if you’d like to be added to the group
Officiating - Umpire Tops
East Essex will present each newly qualified umpire with:
- Into Officiating Umpires with a white t-shirt (round neck or polo style)
- C Award Umpires with a white hoody (with or without a zip) or sweat shirt
- B Award Umpires with a white gilet
Further Information
Officiating Learners should enrol and attend an England Netball on-line.
East Essex will support all Officiating members through to qualification by contributing up to 50% of the training and assessment costs.
All you must do is to submit the Grant Application Form BEFORE attending any training or assessments.
East Essex has a group of accredited volunteer mentors who are available to work with umpires to all levels of qualification. Please complete the online form and our Lead Mentor who will contact you with more information.
